Healthy Families works to eliminate hunger & address nutrition-related issues that impact a household’s budget, children’s performance in school & the overall physical health of families. Through services within Healthy Families, households learn various tools that help them implement changes to food budgeting & preparation and lead families on a road to healthier living. Providing families the opportunity to secure groceries weekly through the food pantry eliminates impossible choices that food insecure households throughout the U.S. are forced to make; choosing between food & safe housing, health care, or child care.
Registered clients can visit the food pantry once a week to collect their perishable & non-perishable groceries.
LCAC distributes kids’ packs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during distribution. These are intended for families with children under the age of 18.
LCAC distributes dog/cat food during distribution.
