SERVICES | Food Pantry
The Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC) food pantry serves individuals and families in Lorton. Registered clients are eligible to attend one of three distributions each week, where they select the food and other items for their families. We distribute fruits, vegetables, bread, meat, cereal, a wide range of non-perishable food, diapers, snack packs, hygiene kits, and much more.
Our food pantry is made possible by our individual, community, and grocery partners and the generosity of the community that enables us to offer this food to neighbors in need. This collective effort helps to feed over 200 families every week.
Food donations can be dropped off at the LCAC food pantry in the new Lorton Community Center at 9520 Richmond Hwy in Lorton, at these times:
Mondays: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Fridays: 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Leaving donations outdoors, exposed to the elements and unprotected from animals, can compromise food and other products, and create a mess! LCAC cannot accept donations dropped off when our facilities are closed.
