Thanks to all who donated to our Thanksgiving food drive! We are still accepting at our food pantry the below list of items our clients are most requesting that we often can’t stock. (We also distributed traditional Thanksgiving food, thanks to three local churches who prepared enough traditional boxes to cover all client families! And thanks to all who donated $25 Food Lion Gift Cards our clients enjoyed.)
Here are food items still in high demand at our food pantry throughout the holidays: Cinnamon, Flour (all purpose), Sugar, Cooking oil, Containers of Condiments (not packets), Canned Sardines, Spam, Vienna Sausages, Handi-Snacks, Bumblebee On-The-Run. We are still collecting $25 Food Lion gift cards, too!

The LCAC Spring Into Action Annual Gala is the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year! It was a great success. All proceeds supported LCAC’s mission to provide for neighbors in need.
Held Saturday, April 29th, 2023, from 6:30 – 11:00 p.m. at Harbour View on the Occoquan, more than 200 people celebrated LCAC, danced to the great Johnny Artis Tribute band, enjoyed beer donated by Bunnyman Brewing, and raised more than $200,000 to support LCAC’s programs.

We played Monopoly to benefit LCAC! It was a fun opportunity to be competitive for a great cause. There were a limited number of tickets available and cash prizes for winners. All proceeds benefit ed LCAC programs.
It was held Saturday, April 1st, 2023 from 9am to 2pm at the Moose Lodge in Lorton.
Gratefulness was in the air, at our Thanksgiving Food Drive! LCAC’s Food Drive took place on Sunday, November 19th. We collected, organized, and distributed Thanksgiving food boxes of traditional items and also highly requested items our clients want, which we’ll distribute in our food pantry throughout the holiday season!
LCAC’s Warm Coat Outreach was a big success in collecting
clean, new or used coats, and new hats and gloves for all ages. Volunteers sorted coats based on gender and size. LCAC families and others in need from the community came to the Lorton Community Center that afternoon to choose “new to them” coats for their whole family. We also provided new hats and new gloves for folks to choose as well. It was a great success!
All LCAC families (over 500) who registered for our December Holiday distribution received a food gift card and specifically requested toys/gifts for children. We also provided $25.00 Target or Walmart giftcards to our clients who are seniors with disabilities, to brighten their holiday season and remind them they are appreciated.
LCAC provides food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and outreach programs to southeastern Fairfax County.
