The Development Associate will help organize and write about information and create graphics to assist with communications
for community stakeholders (donors, volunteers, the media, and others interested) to support the organization’s mission. The Development Associate
works closely with and reports to the Director of Development.
Role and responsibilities may include:
Special Events, Donor Cultivation and Grant Applications/Reports, or Communications – Assist planning, logistics, promotional material
preparation (writing/graphics), and information management (organizing and writing descriptions, utilizing donor management database and Excel). Work collaboratively with the Director of Development and Executive Director to implement communications via email, social media, media outlets, and direct mail. Work with staff to ensure photography of programmatic activities and related permissions and to organize photographs. Help create and design informational and event flyers and assist in the selection and editing of photography for print and online communications, for example, website and Facebook. Write summaries, articles, and proposals, as needed. Maintain a production schedule for programmatic, development, thrift store, and event promotion materials. Coordinate with volunteers and vendors who may assist.
Required skills and interests: Passionate about helping the community. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Excel. Flexibility, creativity, collaboration, and ability to “think outside the box”, and an eye for marketing.
Preferred skills: Comfortable working in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe. Building graphics for communications.
Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $48,000-$50,000. LCAC offers an excellent compensation package including paid health care and vacation and sick leave. This position is hybrid, with the option of working remotely for some hours each week.
