Supervisor/Reports to: Director of Client Services
Average Hours/Week: Full-time
Position Description: The Community Outreach Coordinator is part of the Client Services Department and works under the Director of Client Services to coordinate client education in the form of ESL, computer classes, nutrition education, and other targeted programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
> Coordinates adult education offerings for computer classes, financial mentoring, budgeting, ESL, nutrition education (adult and child), school and summer break programming, along with other opportunities under the Direction of Client Services.
>Acts as a liaison between clients and LCAC.
> Attends internal meetings with LCAC staff.
> Interviews, processes, and assesses client eligibility for services under the direction of the Director of Client Services.
> Answers phone and assists with walk-ins at LCAC.
> Provides clients with up-to-date resources.
> Provides clients with clothing and furniture vouchers. Coordinates with Thrift Store Co-Managers to provide these services to families.
> Works on Back-to-School and Holiday outreaches, including donations and distributions with other staff and volunteers.
> Sends weekly correspondence to clients alerting them to upcoming events and opportunities.
> Assists with LCAC programs as needed.
Requirements:
> Bilingual (English and Spanish)
> Strong Communication Skills
> Experience working with immigrant communities
> Sensitivity when working with different cultures
> Cooperation to work with a team
> Excellent administrative skills

The salary range for this position is $42,000-$48,000. LCAC offers an excellent compensation package including paid health care and vacation and sick leave.
