Our annual Gala will be held Saturday, April 26th at Historic Woodlawn at 9000 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria VA. The gala raises funds that help support LCAC programs and services throughout the year and this year we are also celebrating 50 years of LCAC!

On Sunday, May 18th from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM, LCAC is hosting a Pantry Celebration! At this event, we will commemorate the pantry in honor of an LCAC founder Christine Herbstreith.
There will be volunteer opportunities, free food, games for kids, raffle prizes, and more!

A big thank you to those who participated in our Monopoly tournament on Saturday, February 22nd, hosted by Ron Kowalski Real Estate Group, that raised over $5,000 for LCAC!

Children of LCAC families made their wish lists and together we helped make their holiday gift wishes come true! We collected and distributed gifts for more than 300 families. We also collected Walmart and Target gift cards for over 150 senior clients. Gift recipients expressed great appreciation!

We served 1,117 clients from 314 households and distributed 574 Food Lion Gift Cards with a value of $14,350. We also received an additional 8,126 pounds of food that to stock our pantry throughout the holiday season and beyond.

Thanks to generous donations we collected and distributed more than 1,400 coats plus hats, gloves and other items to keep people warm, serving at least 600 people and more than 135 client families, a 50 percent increase from last year. We also distributed coats to other area groups that serve people in need.

Sunday, August 11th
We were able to provide over 300 LCAC children with necessary school supplies for this back-to-school season! Thank you to all of the donors who provided school supplies and all of the volunteers who sorted and packed supplies for client distribution. Michael Willis of Atlantic Barbecue provided over 200 sandwiches to children!
Sunday, July 14th
This July, LCAC held the first Summer of Love! We LOVED having volunteers of all ages join us to volunteer or donate at our pantry.
Thursday, May 16th
Our staff provided rolling tours of our offices and pantry. We were able to meet so many donors for the first time in person!
