Duties and Responsibilities
– Serve as a client advocate with private and public services.
– Work with the client to prepare and implement individual and family service plans to identify options and meet social, health, emotional and economic needs for those in crisis.
– Administer client vouchers for Thrift Store.
– Assist staff with administration and creation of client food pantry cards.
– Enhance opportunities for addressing mental health, including group workshops and potentially hosting counselors on-site or remotely.
– Assess the needs of homebound clients and help get them the resources they require.
– Engage in more in-depth and regular client interviews to better understand the challenges of families and create case management plans to help them become more stable and achieve self-sufficiency.
– Refer clients to internal or external programming and resource opportunities, as appropriate. Use this information to identify gaps where new programming should be developed.
– Record and track all client interactions in Salesforce database.
Support the Client Services Team
– Assist the Client Services team with the preparation and execution of outreach events throughout the year including Back to School, Thanksgiving, Holiday outreach, and more.
– Help the Client Services team with various tasks as needed including registration, walk-ins, phone inquiries, and more.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree (or comparable work experience), with preferred work experience in the social service sector.
– Bilingual preferred.
– Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals including community partners and volunteers.
– Able to engage clients and develop trusting relationships.
– Able to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of client information.
– Maintain compassion, sensitivity, warmth, and freedom from prejudice for those who seek assistance at LCAC.
The salary range is $51,000-$53,000. LCAC offers an excellent compensation package including paid health care, vacation, and sick leave.
