Under guidance of The CARES Act, Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) is partnering with Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC and 18 other Community Based Organizations (CBO) across Fairfax County to aid households disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. While we are working in conjunction with CSP, LCAC is not responsible for assessing the needs and collecting documentation from all of those seeking assistance.
This additional funding is intended to respond to the increased need in the community and prevent homelessness amongst those most negatively impacted by the economic fallout. This assistance will only be given to those who qualify and to support housing-related expenses including: rent, mortgage, security deposits, fees (late, HOA/condo, etc…), electricity and gas. In addition, funds may also be used to pay for necessary prescriptions. Direct client financial assistance provided for emergency individual needs can be up to 4 months, including arrears and prospective housing payments for households.
In order to qualify, individuals must live in Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, Herndon, Clifton or Vienna. In addition, they must have a household Income below 100% Adjusted Median Income.
If you have any questions about our continued response to COVID-19 or funding from CSP, please email Linda Patterson at email@example.com or call (703) 339-5161 Ext. 140.
